From running seller accounts to founding the agency: how Placier du Web came about, and why it exists to support marketplace sellers.
Placier du Web puts hands-on experience at the service of sellers who want to launch, structure or accelerate their presence on marketplaces.
Where we work: Amazon, Cdiscount, Leroy Merlin, Decathlon, Fnac and the feed managers that push catalogues to each of them. What we are after: turning your project into results you can measure.
Quentin Bahuet · Founder
I came across marketplaces in 2022, working for a company that sold a bit of everything: kitchen timers, foot warmers, wheelbarrows.
What struck me was how quickly a small company could reach buyers on sites everyone already trusts, and how much room there was to grow once you were on them. I learned the trade by doing it rather than in a classroom.
What I enjoy most is how much can be improved at every stage of a seller account's life. Optimisation, automation, integration: each of those words covers a whole set of problems worth solving.
Selling on a marketplace is not just opening another channel. It also builds your brand: the platform lends you its credibility, which matters a great deal to a buyer meeting your name for the first time.
Iziflux first, then Lengow, Channable and ChannelEngine. I learned to get the most out of feed management software to build solutions that hold up over time.
They are not strictly essential, but I usually recommend one. They save an enormous amount of time on low-value work such as order handling and filling in spreadsheets, which frees you to do what actually grows the business: adding products and opening new marketplaces.
